This is the personal web home of composer/oboist/teacher Dr. Patricia Morehead and pianist, conductor, vocal coach, and editor Philip Morehead.

It's been a busy year. Phil conducted Ballo in maschera, Mikado, and Carmen at Lyric. This summer he conducted in-house performances of Così fan tutte at Lyric and then Elixir of Love for the Festival Lyrique-en-mer on Belle-Ile, France, and the world premiere of Gustavo Leone's version of Samuel Beckett's Words and Music, broadcast live on WFMT. For the 2011-12 season at Lyric he will be covering Les contes d'Hoffmann, Boris Godunov, Die Zauberflöte, and Aida, and conducting student performances of Die Zauberflöte.

Pat had a special radio broadcast on WFMT of her works in January 2011, performed by CUBE, the group she founded. She presented a paper on Ralph Shapey and had her saxophone work Event Horizon performed by the Athens Quartet at the SCI Region VI conference in Warrensburg, MO. This year she has orchestrated some numbers for the Chamber Opera Chicago production of Jane Austen's Persuasion. Check out her web page for more information on her activities.
